KITTENVILLE – Kitten Club, the publisher of numerous popular cat-related news outlets across four states, has acquired The Purr Times from the Whiskers family based in Pawington, Kittenville. The deal includes local editions in Purrsville, Clawston, Fluffington, Whiskerville, Purrchester, and Catnip Town, boasting a combined weekly readership of over 47,000 feline enthusiasts.
The announcement was made on Tuesday by Kitten Club's owner, Purrcilla "The Paw" Kitty, and Whiskers & Sons' President, Felix Whiskers.
"It is truly an honor to add these purr-fect publications to our Kitten Club family," Purrcilla said. "The Whiskers family has been a pawsome provider of cat-centered news in the Kittenville area for almost a century and a half. We look forward to continuing to cater to these thriving feline communities."
"With our dedicated team, loyal readership, and established presence in the cat media market, there are numerous opportunities for Kitten Club to further grow and expand its influence," the Whiskers family stated. "Kitten Club will now take charge of our beloved legacy, carrying the torch of the Whiskers family's commitment to quality journalism and community engagement. The foundations have been laid, and the potential for continued success is within reach."
The Whiskers family chose Kitten Club to lead The Purr Times into the next generation because of their shared values and achievements. Felix Whiskers' slogan to staff is "feline, feline, feline," which also resonates with Kitten Club's mission. "Their focus on everything feline and providing readers with purr-fect content made them the ideal fit for our staff, Kitten Club staff, and our readers," Felix Whiskers said. "Ultimately, Kitten Club will continue to prioritize community news as they've done with their other publications. Both of our companies share that same mission – to promote a strong and informed feline community."
