Product Manager Introduction

Because of the flexibility of CommerceCM it has been a challenge to create a comprehensive Product Manager overview.  We have built the most flexible eCommerce platform on the market so no two merchants manage their products identically.

Merchants can have product catalogs with:

• Multiple Product Types:  Each can have its own data model.
• Multiple Templates:  A home gym is not sold the same way as a skipping rope.
• Multiple Descriptions: Either as tabs or displayed as different sections of content as the user scrolls down your product page.
• Relations: A unique feature of CommerceCM allowing merchants to extend standard product descriptions with custom elements including video, PDF downloadable manuals for support, and other unique functionality.
• Specifications: Useful if your site uses Product Comparison functionality or has filtering for shoppers.

This is intended as a high level overview of the basic concepts to introduce you to the features of the system and the vocabulary we use.
